Crawl Space Repair & Encapsulation

If your crawl space is not insulated, fills with water when it rains, or has structural problems, we can help. The crawl space is a vital part of your home, but it is often neglected. For your crawl space to optimally perform it should be encapsulated so there is a barrier between the interior space and the ground below. The exposed wood beams should be free of any signs of rot or mold and the floor joists should be level with no signs of sagging.

Ideally, the crawl space should also be insulated, this will help with air quality and overall home efficiency. The crawl space shouldn’t have any signs of moisture as even the slightest amount of water can lead to mold growth, rot, and mildew. To ensure the long-term health of your home and to get rid of existing crawl space issues call or click today!

Basement Waterproofing in Boston, NY

This homeowner in Boston, NY, noticed several cracks in their basement wall began to leak water into their basement. When they called Frank's, our crew came out and installed our Xypex crystalline solution, a flexible filling that forms mini crystals upon contact with water. These crystals harden and expand with the crack, so that no water can escape again. These homeowners can now have peace of mind knowing water will never leak from this crack again.

Fracture Repair in Boston, NY.

Mike, a homeowner residing in Boston, NY, noticed a concerning fracture in his basement wall. Worried about the potential for water intrusion and further damage, he promptly reached out to Frank's Basement Systems. Soon enough, a dedicated crew from Frank's Basement Systems arrived at Mike's home, equipped with the necessary tools and materials to address the crack in the basement wall.

The team skillfully applied FlexiSpan, a flexible and durable sealant specifically designed for crack repair. FlexiSpan works by filling the crack and adapting to the natural movement of the wall, ensuring a long-lasting, watertight seal.

With meticulous attention to detail, the Frank's Basement Systems team carefully prepared the crack and applied the FlexiSpan sealant. They ensured a seamless and secure application, taking into account the unique characteristics of the fracture and ensuring optimal adhesion.

Upon completion, the team provided Mike with the reassurance that the basement wall crack had been effectively sealed. The FlexiSpan application would prevent water intrusion, further damage, and potential structural issues. Mike could now have peace of mind knowing that his basement was protected against moisture and its detrimental effects.

Structural Repair in Boston, NY.

Ron, a homeowner residing in Boston, NY, grew increasingly concerned about the structural integrity of the supports in his basement. Determined to address the issue before it worsened, he reached out to Frank's Basement Systems. A skilled professional from Frank's Basement Systems promptly arrived at Ron's home to evaluate the basement's structural supports. The expert assessed the current condition, identified areas of concern, and proposed an effective plan to reinforce and strengthen the supports.

The team strategically installed three I-beams, expertly placing them to provide additional support and stability to the existing framework. These robust and reliable I-beams would reinforce the load-bearing capacity of the basement, preventing any potential sagging or structural damage.

With precision and care, the Frank's Basement Systems team secured the I-beams into position, ensuring a proper fit and alignment. They meticulously fastened the beams, adhering to industry standards and best practices for structural reinforcement.

Upon completion, the team provided Ron with the reassurance that the supports in his basement had been significantly strengthened. The installed I-beams would alleviate concerns about sagging or compromised structural integrity, providing a secure and stable foundation for Ron's home.

Fracture Repair in Boston, NY.

Mike had recently purchased a new house that was old, but it had character and charm, and Mike was excited to make it his own! As he began to settle in, he noticed a crack in the wall of his basement. At first, the crack seemed minor, but as time went on, it started to grow and became more noticeable. Mike realized that he needed to do something about it before it became a bigger problem.

Mike researched different options for fixing wall cracks, but he was hesitant to use traditional methods such as patching and painting, as he was afraid the crack would reappear in the future. He wanted a more long-lasting solution that would not require constant maintenance.

After some more research, Mike came across Frank’s Basement Systems and reached out for a free estimate and inspection. Dave H. from Frank’s arrived at Mike's house and inspected the crack. He explained that a Flexispan system would work best to fix Mike’s wall. The Flexispan application would involve making a small incision in the wall along the length of the crack, and then inserting a flexible strip of polyurethane into the incision. The polyurethane strip would then be sealed with a special sealant, which would make the repair waterproof and prevent moisture from seeping through.

After the repair was completed, Mike was amazed at how well it turned out. The crack was completely gone, and he could not even tell where it had been before. He was also relieved to know that the Flexispan system would prevent any future cracks from forming in that area.

Linda had a partially finished basement with water damage on one wall. She removed the drywall to find a leaking crack behind it. She called Frank's Basement Systems for a free estimate.

Russ inspected the crack and recommended a Xypex repair for the crack. The crystalline injection will prevent water from permeating through again.

One day of work will keep Linda from ever having to worry about that crack again!

Basement Waterproofing and Crawl Space Encapsulation in Boston, NY

Sue had a basement and crawl space that both had water issues. She decided to call Frank's Basement Systems for a free, no obligation estimate.

Mike Ciocca visited her home and designed a comprehensive solution for both the basement and crawl space. The plan included WaterGuard interior drainage in both areas, a CleanSpace encapsulation system for the crawl space, and a TripleSafe sump pump system.

The CleanSpace encapsulation system includes a layer of drainage matting with small dimples to allow water to flow, a heavy duty vapor barrier to prevent moisture from entering the crawl space, and specially designed tape to seal everything up.

The basement portion was waterproofed with our patented WaterGuard interior drainage around the perimeter of the basement. The WaterGuard would not only catch and trap groundwater, water from the basement floor, and water from the walls and windows, but also the water from the crawl space.

All the water was then directed via the WaterGuard to the TripleSafe system. The three pumps in a TripleSafe system keeps the basement protected in the event of heavy rains, primary pump failure, and power outage.

After a few days of work, Sue had a waterproof basement and crawl space she could finally use.

Interior and Exterior Drainage, Boston NY

Dan and Wendy had a sump pump in their basement, but still had persistent water problems. In hopes of finding an answer, they visited the Buffalo Home Show to talk to some professionals. After speaking with mutliple contractors regarding their wet basement, they decided to give Frank's a call.

While Dan and Wendy had been focusing on how to get the water in their basement out, they hadn't considered keeping it out in the first place. Our sales representative Mike Ciocca noticed their lawn was incredibly wet when performing his inspection. This indicated that there may be water seeping through the basement walls or finding its way in through improperly sealed windows or even wall cracks. A wet yard and a dry basement rarely coexisit. To solve this, exterior drainage was installed around the house to force water to drain away from the basement.

In addition to the exterior drainage, Mike decided interior drainage around the perimeter of their basement and a new 1/3 horsepower sump pump would be necessary to keep this basement 100% dry 100% of the time. Now any water that did make its way into the basement had an easy and effiecient way up, out, and away from the house.

After 75 feet of exterior drainage, 54 feet of interior drainage, and a brand new sump pump, these homeowners could finally start to use and enjoy their basement.
