When water started seeping into Katie's basement, she panicked! Unsure of where the water was coming from, she called up the experts at Frank’s Basement Systems. She knew we had patent-pending solutions and expertise to ensure her basement would be waterproofed for years to come.

Katie's solution began with our team, wrapping the walls with CleanSpace Wall Covering. This bright white wall covering is super durable and made of an antimicrobial material, so mold and mildew won’t grow. That water then goes into the WaterGuard drainage system. It’s installed under the floor and sealed over with concrete to create a barely there appearance while still working hard to capture moisture. But no waterproofing solution is complete without a reliable sump pump system. By adding the SuperSump, Katie now has a reliable sump pump system with a powerful Zoller pump that can handle high volumes of water effectively. But what really made the difference in Katie’s basement was adding a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Water had been in her basement for so long that it became musty and muggy, but this small and powerful dehumidifier will eliminate that, leaving behind clean, dry air.

Musty smells, chalky walls, and wet floors. That’s how Jessica described her basement when she reached out to Frank’s Basement Systems in the hopes of finding a solution to all of these issues. We had one of our expert Design Specialists come out to give a free estimate, assess the situation, and offer Jessica a real solution.

The components of Jessica’s waterproofing system included the CleanSpace Wall System, the WaterGuard drainage system, a SuperSump, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. The CleanSpace Wall System will help direct any moisture seepage down to the WaterGuard drainage system. This perimeter drainage system collects moisture directed down from the CleanSpace through its wall flange, as well as groundwater entering through the inlet holes. That water collected then flows down into the SuperSump, which will be pushed up and out of Jessica’s basement thanks to the system’s Zoeller pump. The last piece to complete this waterproofing solution was adding a small but mighty dehumidifier. The SaniDry Sedona will eliminate the muggy feeling caused by high humidity, as well as stop mold growth, musty odors, and dust mites, because it also works as an air purifier.

Before our Design Specialist left, he ensured that Jessica understood why we recommended each component of her waterproofing system and how it would dramatically improve her basement. Our Design Specialist recommended that the SuperSump would be the best fit for Timothy's basement. This system contains a Zoeller cast-iron pump in a closed, lidded system. This will allow the efficient, reliable pump to continue running without fear that debris or dirt will enter and clog the system. Plus, the SuperSump has a water alarm that will go off when the water level rises above the sump pump intake.
