Frank's Basement Systems Case Studies: Fixing a Finished Basement

Challenge
Water was pooling on the floor of Nancy's finished basement. The drywall and insulation was being damaged by the water leaking through the crack. It was only a matter of time before the whole basement became musty.
Solution
After the drywall and insulation had been removed, the wall crack was exposed and ready to be repaired. The crack was chipped out down to the floor to prepare for the Xypex application. A small drainage cove was installed in the floor below the crack for any water that gets trapped. The Xypex was injected into the crack to seal and waterproof the crack. As an extra layer of protection, a sheet of our patented BrightWall paneling was installed over the repaired crack to ensure no water ever reaches the basement again.
