Water In Basement
Water was coming in through Deborah's walls and floors due to hydrostatic pressure. This means that groundwater pressure from the soil below the floor and against the walls is forcing its way through.

Water Pooling In Areas
In other parts of this basement, water started to pool from the pressure pushing it through. If you look closely, right where the floor and wall meet, that's where the water is getting in because it's a common spot where water tends to collect.

Open Sump Pump
Deborah's sump pump was outdated and unprotected, with no cover and no backup system in an emergency. Not having a covered sump pump can lead to debris getting built up, issues with the float switch, and even frozen or clogged drain lines.

WaterGuard Installed
The Waterguard will capture water right where the floor and wall meet. To have it installed, the floor closet to the wall is removed so a layer of stone can be placed for the WaterGuard to sit in. This helps to avoid sitting in what would be called by many the 'mud zone.'

Finished WaterGuard Install
With the WaterGuard sitting in a bed of stone and the product's design, it will be very unlikely to clog, compared to a traditional outdoor drain prone to having dirt, stone, and debris get in. After the full perimeter of WaterGuard is placed, concrete is laid down over it so only a small wall flange is visible.

TripleSafe Sump Pump Installed
Our Team worked to install a TripleSafe™ Sump Pump, one of the most reliable sump pumps we offer. It offers two cast-iron sump pump sets, so if the first one fails or is overworked, the second one is in place to take over and help. Then, the third layer is a backup battery-powered pump in case of a power outage. Plus, the TripleSafe comes with an airtight lid that not only keeps pests and bugs out but can easily be removed for service and maintenance.

SaniDry Sedona Install
The last step for this basement was for our Team to install a SaniDry Sedona. It will help to control the space's humidity and prevent mold, mildew, and musty odors from taking over the space. Once installed, this dehumidifier can be set up and left to run because it automatically maintains the best humidity level for the space it is in!
