Condemned? Not in our house!

While structural repairs are never fun, they are doable. More importantly, they are necessary for the safety and longevity of your home. Catching and fixing this issues sooner rather than later can save you a lot of time, money, and stress. Frank's Basement Systems offers a variety of solutions to meet your exact needs.

A Buffalo homeowner was notified his house was condemned due to structural instability. Yikes! The floors were uneven so finding structural issues was not surprising, but the severity was. Sagging floors, doors and windows out of square, and cracked walls are all signs of structural changes in your home that should be evaluated sooner rather than later to avoid major repairs.

In this case, the house was able to be saved through the use of helical piers. Helical piers are installed by digging down to the foundation footer on the exterior of the home and drilling the pier deep into the soil. The pier is attached to the home with a bracket on the footer and the weight of the house is transferred to the pier instead of the foundation walls.
