Damaged Basement Walls
That white chalky residue on Tracy's walls was the first major sign that water was an issue in her basement! As water seeps in, it sometimes carries salt and minerals, so as it dries, these are left behind, creating a white, chalky residue called "efflorescence."
Damp Basement Corner
Damp basement corners mean that walls aren't the only area of concern for water seepage. Water can also seep up from the ground, creating a damp mess around Tracy's basement.
Struggling Dehumidifier
As water seeps in and lingers in Tracy's basement, humidity builds, creating a heavy, wet feeling throughout the space. A retail-purchased dehumidifier was added in hopes of helping solve this issue, but it didn't eliminate the problem at all!
Sealed in Interior Drainage System
Now, when water seeps in, it's stopped and collected thanks to the WaterGuard drainage system. This innovative sub-level system can easily collect any moisture seepage thanks to its wall flange and inlet holes!
Wall Coverings Installed
Tracy's basement walls weren't left out of this basement waterproofing project! The CleanSpace Wall System was added to enhance the space's appearance and create a vapor barrier.
Super New Sump System
Without an effective sump pump system in place, any water collected in the perimeter drainage system won't have a way to get pushed up and out of the basement. Thanks to the Zoeller cast-iron pump found in the SuperSump system, this won't be a concern for Tracy!
Controlling Basement Humidity
The store-bought dehumidifier was replaced with a smaller but mightier SaniDry Sedona. It not only acts as a dehumidifier for the basement but also as an air purifier, so that muggy feelings and musty smells won't be a concern for Tracy anymore!
