Water Seepage Seeping In
Cutting straight through Peggy's basement were several small streams of water. In their wake, they left behind trails of dampness and efflorescence scattered across the floor.
Outdated Sump Systems
Peggy had a sump pump in place, and water was eventually making its way into it, but not the way it should have. Instead of flowing through the drainage system, it was traveling all across the floor!
Large Basement Wall Crack
The most shocking surprise in Peggy's basement? The large crack running across one wall! This crack created enough space for the cinder blocks in her foundation to start moving and shifting.
Stabilizing a Bowing Basement Wall
A solution was needed to stabilize the wall and stop it from continuing to push into the basement. With I-Beams, they are installed and connected to the footer and joists above, preventing any further movement inward.
Newly Installed Wall Covering
With the structural system in place, it was time to tackle the water issues! BrightWall panels were added across the walls and between each beam, creating an effective moisture barrier. Now the space doesn't just look bright and clean, but all of the water seeping in is directed down instead of leaking out!
Laying Down a Drainage System
Before any more streams could form in Peggy's basement, we added the WaterGuard drainage system! Now, moisture is captured before it ever has the chance to move about.
Upgraded Basement Sump Pump
It was out with the old and in with the new for Peggy's sump pump! With a SuperSump Plus now in place, any water collected is now pushed up and out of the basement for good!
