Hearts for the Homeless of WNY recently purchased a new building to expand their food pantry. Frank's Basement Systems donated time and resources to waterproof the basement and make it safe for food storage.
Tonawanda, NY - July 2, 2021
Food storage areas must be kept dry in order to keep the food from spoiling. The new Hearts Harvest food pantry had a stone basement that leaked water. The relative humidity in the basement meant food could not be safely stored there.
Thankfully, Frank's Basement Systems was there to help. With a team of 15 employees, the basement had a complete interior drainage system including a CleanSpace vapor barrier and TripleSafe sump pump.
After one very long day, Hearts for the Homeless had a safe place to store their donated food to continue the great work they do in the community.
