Sinking Crawl Space Supports
The supports in this crawl space were beginning to sink and causing the floors above to slant. This was due to the soil below not being strong enough to handle the weight of the home.
SmartJack System Installed
In each corner of the crawlspace, a SmartJack system was installed. But what makes them unique is that they are installed into a precast concrete pad that is set on a base of compact stone, meaning they won't settle or shift like traditional supports.
Drainage Mat Laid Out
To start the encapsulation process, the floors were covered with the CleanSpace drainage matting system. It's designed to help prevent water buildup from happening underneath the CleanSpace liner.
CleanSpace Liner To Stop Moisture
Over the drainage mat and halfway up the wall, the CleanSpace Liner is installed. This thick pool-like liner works to create a vapor barrier in the crawl space, leaving it brighter and drier!
