Basement Waterproofing Case Studies: Dampness and Block Foundation

Challenge

Dave was frustrated with the dampness in his partially finished basement. It had been 9 years with no sign of the issue going away. Because of the porous nature of block foundations, Dave's struggle is a common one.

Solution

The home already had a sump pump installed, which was a good first step to removing moisture. To stop the moisture from entering the basement through the walls, our patented BrightWall paneling was installed. The paneling traps the water and prevents it from entering the basement air. To remove the moisture in the air, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed and tied directly to the sump pump. The SaniDry Sedona is the most efficient residential dehumidifier on the market. By tying directly into the sump pump, there is never a need to empty it! Dave was well on his way to ridding his basement of moisture once and for all.
