After peeling back the wall insulation, colonies of mold were discovered! As the damp insulation sat against the wall, it created the perfect environment for its growth!
Moisture and Vapor Barrier Added
Unlike paint and other materials that can chip and peel away from consistent moisture seepage, the CleanSpace Wall System is buttoned and secured to the wall. Now, any moisture can be discreetly drained behind it and down into the drainage system below.
New Wall Insulation
Over the CleanSpace Wall System, the SilverGlo insulation was added to replace the older fiberglass insulation Rosa had in her basement. What sets this installation apart from others is that it never loses R-value, meaning Rosa won't have to replace her insulation, and her energy savings won't decrease over time!
