Soaked Basement Carpets
Water seepage ruined Chris's basement. Water seeped through the walls and all over the carpet, creating a soggy, squishy mess!
Basement Walls Ruined by Water
Another symptom of water seepage we saw in James's basement is wall damage. The wall can start to deteriorate, stain, and even become a perfect place for mold to grow!
Sump Pit Open and Exposed
Taking a look inside Chris's sump pump, we could see why the system wasn't working at 100%! Spider webs, dirt, and sediment filled the crack, making it easily clogged.
Upgraded Sump System Installed
During the waterproofing process, we were able to swap Chris's old sump pump system for a SuperSump Plus. Now it has an airtight cover that keeps out dirt, debris, and pests, so the Zoeller pump can keep going, even in the worst of times!
Waterproof Hardwood Floors
An absolute must after this basement was waterproofed was installing ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring to help refinish it! Made of completely inorganic materials, it provides a long-lasting wood floor solution without the risk of water damage!
Repaired Basement Walls
To install the interior drainage solution, we had to rough-cut the walls. But we wouldn't leave them that way! So the EverLast Wall Restoration system was added to replace that lower section, using a more durable material that can't absorb moisture to protect it from future damage.
Added a Small and Mighty Dehumidifier
Humidity won't be a concern for Chris in his newly refinished space! By adding the SaniDry Sedona, water will be removed from the air, collected, and discharged into the sump pump.
