The Original Sump Pump
Originally, in Katherine's basement, she had an outdated sump pump that was loosely covered. It didn't work well when heavy rains came and water would quickly fill the sump pit.

Water Damage On Basement Walls
The space was an unfinished basement, but she used it for storing items and working out, so she wanted the space to be dry. In some areas of the basement, water was getting in and causing damage where the floors and walls meet.

CleanSpace Basement Finishing Wall System
To address the water in her basement and to give the space a clean look, we wrapped all of the walls in our CleanSpace Basement Finishing Wall System. It not only transforms the space by giving it a bright finish but also acts as a moisture and vapor barrier. That means if any water or moisture seeps through the foundation walls, it will stop it and direct it down to the perimeter drainage installed below.

WaterGuard Basement Drainage System
This drainage system will capture the water via inlet holes and direct the water down to the sump pump. After the system is fully installed, it will be nearly invisible, with only the top wall flange, which collects the wall seepage.

SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System
There was already a sump pump, but we went and upgraded it to this pump, which is a cast-iron pump that offers not only reliability but also high-volume pumping capabilities. The pump sits in a SuperLinerĀ®, which is a plastic sump liner with an airtight lid, eliminating the hazard of having an open sump pit.

SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
Due to the basement being a place where items are stored and it's used as a home gym, it was important for Katherine that the air in the space stay dry. The Sedona was installed to help eliminate that muggy feeling caused by high humidity. Plus, it helps to stop mold growth and musty odors, and can help relieve symptoms of asthma and allergies.

Finished Basement
When we developed our process for waterproofing basements, we understood that each home is different, facing different issues. That's why we ensure each home is provided a custom solution, which is exactly what we delivered on for Katherine and her home. Now she will have a dry and healthy basement for years to come!
