Ryan was struggling with mold in areas of his basement in Buffalo, NY. Not only did they discover water coming in when the walls and floors meet, but also several areas where the walls were bowing in. To address the bowing walls, several I-beams were installed. Then, once the structural issues were addressed, the Team could move on to the water issues happening in Ryan's Basement. Since the water was coming into the basement where the walls and floors meet, a perimeter of WaterGuard® Basement Drainage System was installed. To effectively remove the water from the basement, a SuperSump® Premier Sump Pump System was installed. Given the high moisture levels in the space, a huge factor in the mold growth, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was also installed. Now Sean no longer needs to stress over possible mold growth or water pooling on his floors. Bowing Basement Walls

After Ryan had the mold remediated, our Team went in to take a look and see the full scope of the issues in his basement. Not only did they discover water coming in when the walls and floors meet, but also several areas where the walls were bowing in.

I-Beams Installed

To address the bowing walls, several I-Beams were installed. These beams are meant to stabilize the walls to prevent further damage. They are placed vertically against the wall and then securely attached to the joists above and cemented into the floor below.

WaterGuard Basement Drainage System

Unlike traditional exterior systems that are installed outside the foundation or alongside the footing, WaterGuard is installed in the basement. It works to capture all of the water seeping in and direct it down to the sump pump system.

SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System

his pump is a cast-iron pump that offers not only reliability but also high-volume pumping capabilities. The pump sits in a SuperLiner®, which is a plastic sump liner with an airtight lid, eliminating the hazard of having an open sump pit.
