Damage Along Basement Edges
Jason's basement had definitely seen cleaner and brighter days! Now it has dark water-damage stains along its perimeter, as well as a white chalk-like powder on the walls and floors, called efflorescence, which is caused by mineral residue after water dries.
Perimeter Drainage System Installed
To keep the water seeping into Jason's basement off the floor and flowing to the sump pump, a perimeter of the WaterGuard drainage system was installed.
Basement Entry Surface Drainage
In front of the basement door that leads outside, instead of continuing the WaterGuard drainage system, we installed a TrenchDrain that easily integrates with the system. The system will sit flush with the floor, making it easy to collect any surface water.
Effective Sump Pump System
All water collected from the perimeter drainage systems flows directly into the SuperSump Plus. This system has many innovative features designed to work together to keep Jason's basement dry, including the Zoeller cast-iron pump and WaterWatch Alarm.
