Water-Damaged Floors
Along Shirley's basement floors, there were large stains from water seeping in. These chalky white stains on the floor are called efflorescence and occur when water evaporates, leaving behind minerals that cause white, chalky stains.
WaterGuard Drainage System Sealed In
Underneath the fresh concrete is the WaterGuard drainage system, which easily captures any water that seeps from floor and wall gaps. The top edge of the wall flange is visible, so Shirley will hardly know it's there, helping to keep her basement dry!
New Sump Pump System
The SuperSump was installed to help push water up and out of Shirley's basement. It will collect all the water from the WaterGuard drainage system, and its Zoeller cast-iron pump will pump it out!
TrenchDrain In Front Of Doors
The TrenchDrain installed in front of the basement door helps protect against water leaking from the outside, especially during the snowy and rainy days of the year. The system captures any water that may enter from the outside and then connects to the WaterGuard drainage system, which flows to the sump pump.
IceGuard System Added
Due to the colder winter weather, the IceGuard System was installed. It will allow water to escape from the discharge line of the sump pump if the pipe freezes or becomes blocked.
