Large Horizontal Cracks in Basement Wall
This large horizontal crack in Mary's foundation was a clear sign that the wall was beginning to bow. This sign is more noticeable on concrete-block walls, where you can see cracks forming between the blocks.
Discolored and Damaged Walls
In other areas of Mary's basement, she had large blocks of dark discoloration. These form when water seeps in and can lead to more serious issues, like mold and mildew growth!
Making Space for the Stable Lock Wall System
Before our team could implement the stabilization system in Mary's basement, they had to remove part of the floor and any cracked or crumbling blocks in the wall. This work will allow the perfect setup for the team to construct the Stable Lock Wall System!
New Wall Prep
The first step in installing the Wall Repair System in Mary's Basement is to install custom-fit zinc-plated beams, anchored to the first-floor framing above and the basement floor below, to secure the new wall against the failing brick.
Finished Stable Lock Wall System
Using a StableLock Wall Repair System, we reinforced Mary's home's foundation from the inside to prevent further movement. This new, stronger structure will help ensure the existing structure is supported and prevent the problem from becoming a total foundation failure.
Waterproofing Solution Installed
To collect any moisture seeping into the basement and help keep it dry for years to come, our team installed a complete perimeter drainage system from WaterGuard. That water, now collected, drains into the SuperSump, which pushes it up and out of Mary's basement.
