Exposed Wall Crack
Once the blanket of insulation was pulled back on Alex's foundation wall, the large crack was discovered! This was the source of the puddle forming on his basement floor.
Prepping The Area For Reapair
Before the crew can start, they first prep the area by chipping out the crack and any surrounding defects. The area is then cleaned to remove any loose dirt and debris.
Applying The Xypex
Once the area was prepped and ready, it was time to apply the Xypex Patch 'n Plug to the crack in Alex's wall. This system is a fast-setting hydraulic cement that seals the crack and stops flowing water in just seconds!
BrightWall Added Over
After the Xypex dried, we added a sheet of BrightWall. This helps create a clean look for the repair in Alex's basement and directs any potential moisture seepage around and down into the drainage system.
Sealing In The System
Below the BrightWall, a strip of the WaterGuard drainage system is added to collect any moisture seeping down and help it drain into Alex's home's current drainage system.
