Dirty Crawl Space Under Kitchen
The crawl space under Thomas's home had old fiberglass insulation that was not keeping the floors above warm, and the supports began to shift, creating an unstable floor above!
SmartJacks Added For Stabilization
To help stabilize the floor above, several SmartJacks were installed on precast concrete pads, and unlike masonry piers that can shift or wood posts that can rot, these steel piers won't settle or rust.
Crawl Space Wall Insulation System
To seal and insulate the crawl space, SilverGlo, which has a built-in radiant heat barrier surface, is installed to create a solid sheet of insulation while also acting as a vapor barrier.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
To keep this space nice and dry, the CleanSpace Vapor barrier is rolled out and secured with CleanSpace tape to prevent water vapor from entering the crawl space.
