Bruce was going through the process of selling his Ellicottville home when it was discovered that water was seeping into the basement. Before he could sell, he needed to have this fixed so the future homeowners wouldn't need to worry. Our Real Estate Response Team investigated and discovered a crack in the wall, extending from the ceiling to the floor. This crack looked to have been previously repaired by another, but water was still coming through. To fix the crack, our Team used a Xypex repair system, which is a cement compound used for patching and repairs. It will help seal this crack and any of the surrounding defects in the concrete, allowing us to create a smooth surface. Now Bruce will be able to sell his Ellicottville home knowing that whoever buys it won't need to worry about water seeping in.
Michael, from East Amherst, NY, called Frank's when he noticed water leaking from various cracks along the wall of his basement. Since this homeowner already had a basement waterproofing system, our crew came in and installed our patented WellDuct Wall Drain, which effectively channels water seepage from the wall, down to the basement waterproofing system to be removed by the sump pump.
Sealing cracks in finished or partially finished basements is critical to preventing damage to insulation and drywall. Our FlexiSpan crack sealing system is low profile and can be covered by paint, drywall, plaster, or any other finishing product.
